Founder and Senior Wealth Advisor
Courtney Jones founded Credo Wealth Management after 16 years working primarily with corporate executives to consolidate, organize and plan their wealth. She and her team deliver a holistic approach that integrates corporate benefits within an overall wealth management strategy.
Originally from New Jersey, Courtney has professional and family roots in Wall Street. She moved to San Francisco in 2002 to build her practice with Wall Street expertise as a foundation, but a more modern Montgomery Street approach to delivering practical advice.
Courtney is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNING™ professional and a graduate of the Executive Program for Women Leaders at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. She also holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s degree from Villanova University. She is an active member of her community, with many past and present roles including FINRA Dispute Resolution Arbitrator, Sustainer Council of the Junior League of San Francisco and a member of 100 Women in Finance.
I decided on the name Credo Wealth Management because of the idea of all actions being guided by a core set of principles. As an independent firm, we’re guided by our defining beliefs, and the advice we provide is guided by the core values and goals of each client.

How do you get an accurate picture of your financial wellbeing?
It often happens that as a corporate executive, when you do find time to address your finances, it’s a challenge to piece it all together into an accurate picture of where you stand – especially without a clear strategy for managing your corporate benefits.
With many years’ experience helping Bay Area executives maximize their equity compensation, and the practical insight we’ve gained from it, we’ve designed an all encompassing wealth management process.
Our purpose is not only to make sense of your benefits in light of your overall goals, but to consolidate all your financial strategies and considerations into one clear platform. That’s how we provide clarity, save time, and empower decision-making.
From Wall Street to Montgomery Street
The move to the West coast was as symbolic as it was practical. We took the expertise associated with traditional Wall Street services and built an independent firm that would reflect the needs and expectations of modern, time-starved executives.
For our team, it’s about operating with complete transparency and avoiding industry jargon in favor of education and straightforward communication. It’s about embracing the evolution of technology to improve the efficiency of the client experience. It’s about understanding and empathizing with all clients and their families, from women executives to retired professionals.
We believe that as the new emerges from the old, we can empower the client to make more informed, strategic decisions with their wealth.
